The Driver Responsibility Assessment: What is it? The driver responsibility assessment is a civil penalty imposed by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles when an individual has been convicted of certain violations/crimes.

The applicant is able to complete all the required courses and tests before booking an application appointment and paying the full fee. Please note that any failure to pay the appropriate fee may result in the driver licence being suspended, until such time as payment has been made. Payment must be by way of Debit / Credit card, Postal Order or Cheque only. Payment must be made at the time of the pre-booked appointment with the Licensing Officer. Fees and charges may also be amended to meet the reasonable cost of issue and administration.
